I’m a Christian. and I celebrate Halloween. I like to play dress up and eat candy. I don’t go around saying, “Praise Satan” same as I know Jews put up Christmas trees without saying “Praise Jesus”.

LOL, my dad’s Christian and he calls all holidays (Christmas, Halloween, VDay etc) ‘pagan rituals’. He made our family stop celebrating Christmas when I was 12 (he’s kind of a nut job) and I had this really bad emo spell one December during my junior year in college. I didnt wanna go home to my folks in their decorless house =/

We go to cemeteries during All Souls Day and All Saints Day here (Nov 1-2). Well, I stopped going when I was old enough to say no to my mom hehe.

I am absolutely, wet-my-pants excited about Halloween. I’ve got money to burn, I’m hightailing it on out to the coolest town in the Southwestern United States (Bisbee, AZ) and I am gonna be Mad Max… fuck yeah.

My parents are coming out from California to visit me and I’m gonna weird ‘em out but good. We all have simple pleasures, mine is to shock my parents and then laugh about their facial reactions for weeks.

I don’t get it either. I’m Christian and I’ve actually never heard of Christian’s NOT celebrating Christmas, nor did I never hear that Jesus WASN’T born on that day. WTH? Either that or I wasn’t paying attention in Church when I was a kid.

Whatever. At least we get a bunch of holidays out of it. I’ll totally be celebrating it, wine bread and all.
