When I think of female comedians, I think of Margaret Cho.
Also, I took a class on stand up comedy as literature and my professor asked us who our favorite female stand up comedian was–one girl said hers was Lucille Ball. Only problem is–Lucy never did stand up comedy. (My response to his question was me, shoving a pen through my eye.)

Now that I think about it, there is one female stand up comedian I enjoy–Tig Notaro.

I have to agree with Helga about Anjelah Johnson, but I haven’t really seen much others. I hear Marget Cho is funny too, but again, those are the *only* female comics I know of.

I’m not sure I want to go around watching videos to see if they really suck or not. I’m just going to take your word for it

You know why I don’t like watching stand up comedy? I always get scared that the comedian will embarrass themselves if they make “unfunny” jokes. I don’t really know how to describe it but I hate that feeling when you feel embarrassed for other people!
