1. I took the best picture of my niece ever.
In the backyard, we have a weight set that’s covered by a really big ugly sheet. While I was playing with Kendrick (my one-year-old niece), I thought it’d be cool to take a picture of her sitting on top of the sheet, so I picked her up and prepped her into the chair and she quickly got off, clearly not interested in posing for a photo. Picked her back up onto the chair and she jumped off, again.
“Ken, Ken, Ken, look at me,” I’m actually speaking in Vietnamese, “please let me take this picture of you, ok? It’s only going to take two seconds.” I picked her back up onto the chair and I swear she gave me the “Make it quick then” face. So I jumped back and snapped a quick photo of the diva and the result was priceless. She’s in her adorable, little innocent pink PJs but the way she is sitting, the expression on her face, and the blatant exposure of her thunder calves is simply saying otherwise:
2. I milkmaid’d my hair for the first time.
After seeing so many tutorials for milkmaid braids lately, I finally gave in since I will be chopping my hair off soon. It’s kind of cool, though it does make me feel a little too innocent–like I should be changing my name to Belle and wear a “promise” ring until marriage.
3. I made a magical shitty staff.
The reason why I haven’t updated this site in almost a week is because it took me a week to make this staff for my costume. It’s my first time crafting something ridiculous as this so I don’t expect it to look like god’s greatest gift. I just hope the thing doesn’t randomly fall off on someone’s head when I’m walking around at Comic-Con Long Beach, know what I mean?

At first when I saw the picture, I thought your niece got her picture taken at some “professional” studio. You have some awesome swag in photography 8D! I tried thinking about how I would say what you said to your neice in Vietnamese. I don’t even know how to speak Vietnamese but I can listen to it :I! It feels like a one way in type of thing D:!

Your milkmaid braid is pretty! It looks like as if you’re one of those angels or someone with the leaf-crown on their heads. I’m a horrible hair stylist to even attempt that!
I don’t see how that staff is crappy or shitty :O! It’s legit as far as something homemade goes! It’s a lot neater than what people from the ghetto here would do

I have been wanting to “milkmaid” my hair for quite some time. I think it looks pretty awesome. Was it hard? My hair is pretty long so I don’t think that’d be the issue, I just don’t know how to get it started.
Squee to your staff! I clicked the post and although I’ve never heard of that character before, she looks pretty bitchin’! Definitely gotta show off photos when the costume is complete! I am going to dress up all “steampunk” for halloween but the only thing I’ve finished on my costume are the (water [nerf was too pricey]) guns.

I think you have a head for ANY hair style because you’re totally rocking the milkmaid ‘do. I bet you could even pull off the side ponytail. You look so innocent with the braids. We all know otherwise though….
It WOULD be hilarious if your magical staff fell on someone’s head! Then you could legitimately claim it has AWESOME powers!

I wish I was Asian purely for the babies. Asians have the best babies/small children. Your niece is a doll. She has shoes on and shoes automatically make any kid adorable. Sometimes I look a little kid shoes just for fun…a hobby which will become disturbing in about five years.
Maybe you could carry that staff while you have the milkmaid braids. Just a thought. It might toughen up the look.
