Don’t worry kiddos, even I get bored at writing my own life story sometimes so I’ll try to make this as brief as possible and straight to point because trying to go over what had happened to me in this past YEAR can be a lot to cover.
This will all be in chronicogicial order…chronologogicigcal. Bleh, nevermind.
.
Events I attended, places I visited:
1. France — Traveled out of the country for the first time w/ Matt. Got to see various parts of France. Such a beautiful country (entry)!
2. Zelda Symphony – It’s like Video Games Live but it only features music from The Legend of Zelda franchise. Pretty magical stuff.
3. The Book of Mormon — The first broadway musical from the creators of South Park. This was also my very first time seeing a musical and I loved it. Hilarious stuff.
4. Lots of comic book conventions — To name a few, San Diego Comic-Con, Comikaze and Long Beach Comic Con. Ok, I think that was it but three in one year is a lot for me!
5. Saw Louis C.K. — We got to watch him in a very small venue in Hollywood. He’s the Jesus Christ of Comedy, I’m tellin ya.
6. Jazz club w/ Tenacious D — Watched Jack Black and his band sing Jazz stuff while sitting next to Billy Zane and his date.
7. Blizzard Holiday Party — Got to party with the cool developers of Blizzard Entertainment (entry).
Summary: I had some damn good times this year. Without Matt, I wouldn’t even go to 99% of the things I have listed. He is the reason why I sometimes leave my house to have fun. I will forever be in his debt!
.
Personal/Work-related:
Originally, I had written a list of all the ridiculous mishaps that had happened when I was looking for a job. It was so bad that writing it had made me feel pretty emotional and shitty, so I deleted it. It was just all a string of bad luck. 2012 was definitely the most painful and regretful year for me and it hasn’t gotten any better since. Good thing I have this blog to distract myself from that though. Speaking of this blog…
.
Entries I had fun writing the most:
- Having Friends
- Interracial friendships are awesome!
- Friendzoning at its finest
- Why I’m still blogging
- My (Slightly Peculiar) Food Facts
- When I realized I wasn’t a kid anymore
- My favorite feelings!
- My Eyeglasses Timeline
- My 7 Pet Peeves with Reading Blogs
- The 5 Types of Blog Comments that SUCK
Summary: I may not be great at writing and my grammar most likely needs a lot of improvement, but I love writing. I love this blog and the bloggers whom I have interacted within the past year because of it.
.

I WANT TO SEE LOUIS CK SO BAD. I would pay top dollar to see that man, seriously.
I’m glad you had a good year! I’m getting a little bit depressed, seeing all the tweets and Facebook posts about ‘is this year over yet?’ and blah blah blah. It’s good to know there are some happy people out there.

You’ve had quite a good year, Tiff (I mean, jazz club with Tenacious D and trip to France). That’s pretty awesome. Hmmm, if you don’t mind, I’m gonna borrow this idea so I could make my own list, too. ^^,

I LOVE YEARLY RECAP POSTS! Just by reading yours, I had the sad realization that my life really sucks compared to yours. I would love to experience the fun that you’ve had all year!
I wish you more AWESOMENESS headed your way for 2013, Tiff.

Reading your post ‘When I realized I wasn’t a kid anymore’ I got an idea for my own blog post
I’ll post it tomorrow.
All those conventions! And you have attented the Blizzard Holiday Party! That’s so awesome. If only I could be there… You have done alot in 2012. When reading that all, I realize my life is really boring. Maybe I need to do something with my life.

It sounds like you had a great year despite of the crap that had happened with looking for work. You really traveled out there in the world! It’s even better to have someone like Matt to go venture to these places with, because you’re not alone and you’re getting an awesome experience! From France to the Blizzard Holiday Party, they sound pretty sweet. Being the band geek I am, the Zelda Symphony sounds so sweet!
There’s no point in really listing the bad experiences, because when you look back in the future, you will remember more of the good times and less of the bad.
Whether you’re good at writing or not, you definitely try and always bring us these amazing posts
!
You’re always rockin’ in those fashion too. You know your way around the wardrobe!
I messed up in high school to an extent, which I paid the price by getting rejected to every school I applied to with the minimum grades. It really explains why I’m trying hard now x___x”!
I wish you a happy holiday and a happy new year celebration too
!
Take care~

End of the year recaps are always half good and half bad. Reliving the horrible things and the great things. I’m scared to go my recap. Ugh. I already know compared to your year, mine hasn’t been half as good. And I’m jealous you were able to go to San Diego Comic-Con. I was suppose to go to an anime con but don’t have the money.
The 50′s lifestyle show is called Wives With Beehives and it’s on the TLC channel. From what I’ve found sadly it was only a one hour special! But after I watched it I want to know if the “new girl” found a house and so much more. I hope they turn it into a weekly show because I would watch it.

So much has happened!
I can’t believe it was this year you went to France! I swear it seemed like ages ago!
Blogging takes me away from life stressors too, eh my grammar and writing techniques may not be 100% but I enjoy it and I enjoy reading your blog posts!

Wow, you went to so many cool places and events! I’ve been wanting to see the Zelda Symphony and The Book of Mormon, but I don’t think they’ve played in my city yet
Sorry to hear that this year was painful though. I hope all those cool events made up for it at least. I also hope 2013 will be a lot better! Have a happy new year!

I think posts like these really help people reflect on the positive and awesome moments of the past year. I wish I got to see Louis CK and go to all the comicons you have! I think living in LA helps with the availability of these opportunities, but I don’t always go. I’m glad you’re taking advantage of it, and maybe I will too next year
I like how you focus on the positives and I hope that energy and focus will bring you more positive work experiences in the future. Even if it doesn’t, keep blogging because you’re great at it.

I would love to see France. I remember when you were planning for the trip. Did you post pics? I don’t think I caught a glimpse of them. I never thought to do a recap of 2012. That IS a lot to write about.

2012 was a really bad year for me, too, and I thought of writing a recap of sorts but it’s all going to be a bunch of boohoo SO NEVERMIND.
Wish things would magically change when the clock strikes 12 but not gonna happen, so I’m just going to get wasteypants. Happy New Year, Tiff!

Awesome way to sum up the year!! By the way – did you see lots of cosplayers at the Zelda concert?! My friend went to the one in Dallas and Houston and said it was amazing how many people dressed up for a symphony!!!

Every time someone mentions Louis CK I have to namedrop that one of my close friends is a production assistant on his show. She loves it. And him. He is indeed awesome.
I’m personally jealous you saw Tenacious D! I’m not a particularly good fan since I didn’t know they still performed, but they’re totally awesomesauce!

I already said to Cat that I have no idea how you all pull off remembering all the details of the year.
This is the second recap post I am reading, and I’m pretty sure there are more.
I was going to go to the Zelda Symphony. I was planning it and looking forward to it all summer. Though it fell on November 28th, I thought I could handle it. Good thing I did NOT buy tickets, because there was no way I could have gone that day, not two days before my departmental final was due. Of course Hurricane Sandy helped, but even so, I am glad I didn’t waste money on it. It sounds absolutely amazing though, based on the review my friend wrote.
I’m sorry that you feel 2012 was painful and regretful. I suppose that’s something that can’t be avoided or predicted. You can only hope for a better year coming up! I’m glad that you always keep positive.

I used to make recap posts like this in the past, even doing a collage and all that jazz…and I initially wanted to create one for 2012 since I feel like 2012 has been pretty rad for me…but it got pretty busy the last few weeks of the year so…
Anyhoo, Happy 2013 to you! Here’s hoping that 2013 will be full of awesome for you and your family!
