When I said I had a big Christmas party to go to, I was not joking. My date invited me to a party hosted by his work, which happens to be one of the most popular and well respected video game developers in the world. They’re especially known for making the Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft franchises and my personal favorite, World of Warcraft. This year’s party theme was Superheroes: Good vs Evil (or something like that), some people actually dressed up in costumes but the majority went formal.
Some of you wanted to see a picture of me in my new perdy little dress, here’s the only picture. The skirt doesn’t typically look like that. I was just being a super hero!
The picture was taken right at the end of the party. I danced way too much that after jumping in the air, I landed with a bad muscle cramp on my right leg. Doesn’t matter though, I got a pretty sweet superhero-like picture out of it. Anyhoo, let’s rewind back to the beginning…
The party took place at Disneyland Hotel. So, upon entering, we were greeted with a small choir group, dressed in old-fashioned clothing, singing Christmas carols. They sounded like Christmas.
At the beginning of the party, I believe they awarded one of their long-time employees for being part of the company for so long. In return for his 20 years of hard work, they gave him a crown. Now just a crown, but a CROWN OF ETERNAL DEDICATION. Damn, can someone please hire me?
This is only 1/3 of the room. The one pictured above is where the karaoke magic happens. In the room behind it, is the dance floor, which lies amazing acrobatic and fire dancers, bingo and delicious chocolate deserts and pastries. I danced a whole lot…my thighs were hurtin’ in my sleep. They’re still hurtin (ughhh…muscle cramps…).
Hey stud muffin, you from outta town?
Here’s a really creepy oompa loompa picture of us. The party was too damn orange!
It was a damn good night. I am very impressed by Blizzard and their way of knowing how to throw a spectacular party. As a huge fan of their video games, I am also grateful to share this holiday experience with them!
