Ho boy. It’s crazy how New Years can motivate you to finish the things you’d never thought you’d finish. This was one of them.

I think I started this project about a year ago and barely finished yesterday. I worked on it on and off because making this costume later made me realize that this was a little out of my league. But I man’d up and managed to get ‘er done. The character the costume is based off of is Lady Deathstrike. I wanted to take on one of her more recent looks since I haven’t seen any cosplayers dressed up as this particular version yet.
I like documenting the “stages” of getting ready. First pic: No makeup and hair not did. This is what I look like by default. 2nd pic: I put on the makeup. 3rd pic: I put on the first layer of costume. 4th pic: I put on the wig and then I turn into a geisha tranny.

The final product! The costume is obviously no where near perfect, but from what little experience I have with armor-making, it’s not too shabby. I’m looking forward to planning my next costume. I think it’s going to be more armor-heavy this time.

Whoa, this is a sick costume! Feels great to finish something.

Woah…this is amazing. Such an achievement by you.
I totally get what you mean, though. The start of a new year just whips me into shape, forcing me to finish things I’ve been procrastinating on for a while. XD

That looks awesome! Great job! Do you have a full body photo? I’d love to see how the scales at the bottom look with everything

I do have a full body photo but the bottom part of the armor was starting to break off during the middle of the shoot. So it doesn’t look great

Hey! That looks GREAT! Have you ever considered selling costumes? You make costumes that looks like they could be in movies… The fingers/claws are one of the best parts!

It’s pretty near perfect in my opinion. Maybe you could make costumes that I design. I have a habit to redesign costumes for characters.

Ahh! This is awesome! I love how you pick characters that you easily resemble!

Yay you finished it! It looks so awesome. I’d love to see the whole costume from top to bottom too.
I also feel like you can do this professionally, lol.

I’m impressed at how you can manage to pull things off like this! Love the last photo with the evil/I-swear-revenge look on your face!

Great job with the costume! I can definitely see the resemblance between the comic character and you! How long do these projects normally take?

I love the makeup and the hair… I wish you’d share full-body pictures so we can see your costume in all its glory :3
Now you’re certainly justified to go on a killing spree and world domination X3

You are such a badass, Tiff! Wow — looks so awesome. I don’t think I could ever design something like that… and I know very few people who can… so it’s nice to see the process and work that goes into something like this! Too cool.
Where are you going to wear it next?

Look great. I envy people who can finish working on a costume and not give up in the middle of it. Costume making can be tough.
This is not supposed to be an insult but your background complement the color of your costumes. Your costume (the color) reminds me of banana flowers. I love eating banana flowers

I think far too many bloggers are caught up in give-aways, sponsoring, etc. You make a good point about how their actual blog entries don’t have near as much attention.
