Last year, I went to see comedian Steve Bryne. After that show, he walked pass me and I kind of froze…shoulda patted him on the back…shoulda talked to him but never did and I’ve always regretted it.

This year, yesterday, to be exact, I skipped portfolio class to check out his new material at the Brea Improv. Man, he really is hilarious, and most importantly, at the end of the show, I manned up and told him that his new material was awesome, took pictures with him and told him that he was tall (yeah, i don’t know, that’s all I could think of at the given moment).

Also, my monster is complete!

I am probably going to make a layout out of it soon, so watch out for that. I kind of need a new layout anyway because I noticed that I tend to blog more often when the layout is fresh. The older my website layout gets, the less I write. Haha, and I don’t know why.

Update: New layout! Hurrah!

I love watching stand-up comedy, especially live, but every time I see a woman comic walk up to the stage, my face starts to cringe because I already know it’s going to blow.

I’m not saying that women in general are not funny. I know funny women personally. I know funny women who write funny things…but they can’t tell a good joke.

I hate to be rude, but fuck, women comics aren’t that great to watch and they never once made me laugh out loud to a point where my stomach started hurting. They made me chuckle a few times, but it’s only out of politeness, and I’m pretty sure I laugh a lot more when someone farts.

The last time I was at Hollywood Improv, there was actually one incident there when a woman told a joke that was actually funnier than hearing farts. I’m pretty sure she said something like (I don’t even remember the exact quote!), “I met a guy a bar and he told me that he doesn’t like sensitive girls so I stabbed him.” LAWL. But the rest of her jokes were lame, and it consisted of pmsing, sex and her mother.

I’m not completely close-minded when it comes to them. I always give the benefit of the doubt. Like, lately, I’ve been checking out female comedians on Youtube…but after watching some of them, I rather very much watch somebody throw a turd up against the ceiling.

I haven’t been writing much since I’ve been quite busy with acting…busy with acting. That actually felt sort of good to say that, but I had the worst of the worst day yesterday.

I have a small part for a horror film and I only have to say about 2-3 lines in the whole movie. Yesterday, the producer was really anal about everyone being on time at 6 o’ clock. So, being the responsible and reliable person I am, I arrived ten minutes early, but I later found out that they didn’t really need me at that time.

I was sitting there for over four hours doing absolutely nothing. Most of the actors and extras I was trying to converse with were not friendly people at all, so I just left without even filming. Worst four hours of my life. I’m not even sure if they even filmed at all on that day.

On a partially brighter side, last Thursday I went to audition for a popular cellphone company commercial that will air during a very special time. I will give out more specific information if I get the job. I would be really, extremely, completely and utterly happy if they cast me.

PREASE CAST ME!!!@!! PREASE!!!

And this is completely off topic but you really have to watch this. The comedian is Joy Koy, and he’s a hoot in this particular video. If you don’t think this is funny then I don’t know what is.

I went to Hollywood Improv last night and it rocked because Steve Byrne was in it. We cried, we laughed and peed our pants a little. It was spectacular.

Though I’ve got to admit, I was a wee bit star strucked when Steve walked right pass me after the show was over. Everything, in my vision, was in complete slow-mo. It wasn’t just like BAM he walked, he passed, and was gone. No no noo, this was different. I saw it all.

There was a special moment where we were face to face, eye to eye with each other, I said, “Good job Steve!” But I think I whispered it, or worse, mouthed it! I also wanted to pat his shoulders, so gave my hand out, just a tiny bit, but was hesitant and not to mention scared shitless so I pulled back…didn’t get to touch the hotness of Steve Byrne.

I have failed myself.

And I think he replied, “Thank you!” but everything was hazy so I’m not too sure.

I’ve met actual celebrities on the streets before, but I never acted like a retard. I think I was just shocked by how gorgeous Steve was in person. If you’ve read my mini bio on here before, then you know its true…I have a weakness for Eurasian men and I need help.
